Ina Gardner is the author of many popular American cookbooks on cooking. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. It is on since 2002. Ina began her writing career by creating nuclear energy policies as well as budgets of the White House. In the beginning, she found her work to be intellectually stimulating, however she soon lost interest, and purchased a tiny grocery store that was called Barefoot Contessa. She spent eighteen years making the store extremely successful before letting it go and picking up the pen and writing her first cookbook. Then, a number of cookbooks were published, and she also wrote columns for magazines. The Food Network TV show also debuted with great hit.
